 # Reducing Supply Risk: Circular Economy Particularly Effective

Dependency on critical raw materials poses risks to supply security in Europe and to the domestic economy. Circular economy measures offer the best way to free ourselves from this dependency, become immune to political blackmail, and safeguard our competitiveness. Supply security can only be achieved if we leverage all the levers of the circular economy: from reducing demand, through material efficiency and durability, to reuse and recycling.
